Danielle Carr

Owner. Master Stylist. Colorist.

Danielle has been professionally expressing her creativity through hair for over thirteen years. Although to her it feels longer, as she spent much of her childhood frequently visiting the salon with her mother and soaking up every detail. If you ask her to reminisce, she will tell you about the smells of fresh shampoo and the sounds of her hairdresser’s dangling bracelets (Danielle wears a few on her wrist to this day). These childhood memories evolved into a passionate career of hair artistry and her love of personally connecting with each and every client.

She is known for her avant-garde cutting and color correction, as she layers shades to create a multi-dimensional look. The ubiquitous Philadelphians can pick out women with Danielle’s signature creations while walking through the city. If you ask another stylist, he or she will tell you that Danielle doesn’t just have clients, but rather devotees who consistently return for the aesthetically and personally rewarding experiences that happen in her chair.
Education has played a major role in Danielle’s career, as she has trained at Vidal Sassoon, Aveda, Redken and Wella, to name a few. She also finds joy in sharing her passion with others and was a lead instructor at Aveda Institute. Danielle continues to educate stylists, as she teaches varied workshops at Lakshmi that encourage her staff to refine their craft as much as she has over the years.

She is continuously inspired by her creative lifestyle that is filled with yoga, writing, music and travel. While visiting other cultures she is very aware of the colors and textures. By exposing herself to such varied artistic moments, she finds that she can step outside of the box and explore new hair colors and styles. Danielle has shared her creativity with the public on TLC’s Makeover Story, Fox TV, Philadelphia Magazine, City Paper, Philadelphia Weekly and iVillage for L’Oreal.

Since opening Lakshmi, Danielle looks forward to creating in her studio each day, and enthusiastically anticipates future artistic moments in the years to come.

Robin Warriner
Owner. Master Stylist. Makeup Artist

From Hollywood to New York to Philadelphia, Robin has been transforming looks and expressing her creativity as a stylist and makeup artist for over twenty years. What started out as styling and makeup artistry for glam bands in her hometown in PA, quickly evolved into a career in Hollywood. While there, she trained at the Joe Blasco studio and created countless looks for music videos and movies. A few years later, Robin realized that her true passion was pursuing styling and makeup in the fashion world. As a result, she retuned to the east coast, traveling between New York and Philadelphia.
Robin has trained with Aveda, Vidal Sassoon, Bumble & Bumble, Wella, etc. As a result of this extensive training, she is a versatile stylist who specializes in precision cutting and styling for red carpet events. Robin takes the time to envision a hairstyle that is not focused on the current trend, but rather one that works for your personal style, hair texture, face shape and daily life.

Robin draws inspiration from immersing herself in various cultures while traveling. Music also stimulates her creativity, as she believes it plays a major role in fashion and art. Even after working on countless photo shoots for editorials and covers of national and local magazines (Philly Style, Philadelphia Magazine, Main Line Today), CD covers and ad campaigns (Allure, Glamour, W, Lucky, Elegant Weddings), she has remained a humble artist with a passion for continued education to perfect her craft.
As one of the owners of Lakshmi, Robin lives and breathes the art of styling, and she wouldn’t have it any other way.
